Trees–the result

Last week we had the monthly photo competition at my local camera club.

The set subject was – Trees.

The Scream. bGolden Tree . b

The judge thought The Scream was well seen but there were too many technical issues with the print.

The Golden Tree lived up to its title but he thought the foreground was distracting.

Hover I won the Monochrome Print section with – Twisted Tree.

Taken on one of my favourite walks in Mallorca, the GR 221 route from Cala Deia to Soller. The path winds its way through Olive groves and there are dozens of old trees. Just a matter of picking the right one.

About crosbyman66

My aim is to create a photo diary of my walks and my travels. I have two main hobbies, walking and photography and these complement each other. I am a senior citizen, what used to be called an old age pensioner, but I don't feel old. Since retirement I have had more time to pursue my hobbies and the opportunity to travel more. My philosophy now is - Do what you can, while you can. My other interests are fine wines and keeping fit. These may not complement each other but keep me happy.

Well done Alan love Sandra and Jack

Congratulations Alan, I can see why the judges chose it. I still love the humour of the scream, but appreciate the texture, age and character of both trees. If only they could talk, wouldn’t they have some great stories to tell.

Don’t know what to enter for that one. I am all at sea !!!!!
