Mallorca 2013. Days 5 and 6

Day 5. It was overcast when we set out for Deia and soon it started to rain.

At Can Prohom I left the group to head for the Muleta with the aim of taking some flower photos. The petals looked lovely in the rain.

Day 6. Sa Bassa.

Four of us headed for Sa Bassa. 819m.

I had been there before but always with a guide. This time I was leading. The map was almost useless but I spotted a few cairns. In Mallorca, two stones placed one on top of the other constitute a cairn. Not always leading in the right direction. But these were going up so we followed them. I think I had discovered the climbers route.

At the summit of Sa Bassa, but which way down.

A super day.

About crosbyman66

My aim is to create a photo diary of my walks and my travels. I have two main hobbies, walking and photography and these complement each other. I am a senior citizen, what used to be called an old age pensioner, but I don't feel old. Since retirement I have had more time to pursue my hobbies and the opportunity to travel more. My philosophy now is - Do what you can, while you can. My other interests are fine wines and keeping fit. These may not complement each other but keep me happy.
