Mallorca 2013. Day 4

Today I walked from Cuber Reservoir to Soller via the Coll de L’Ofre.

Our group were going to do the three peaks but in the opposite direction to what we normally do. Starting from the Coll de L’Ofre they planned to climb L’Ofre, Na Franquesa then Sa Rateta.

L’Ofre is the pointy one on the right. I decided it would be too much for me so I came down the Es Barranc. However instead on coming all the way down the Pilgrim Steps I took the alternative path down the Cami Vell. It was fantastic with lots of wild flowers. I spotted some Balearic Cyclamen, sonly the second time I had ever seen them in bloom.

I found several other plants that I had not seen before but I need to identify them before I can write about them.

Another super day

About crosbyman66

My aim is to create a photo diary of my walks and my travels. I have two main hobbies, walking and photography and these complement each other. I am a senior citizen, what used to be called an old age pensioner, but I don't feel old. Since retirement I have had more time to pursue my hobbies and the opportunity to travel more. My philosophy now is - Do what you can, while you can. My other interests are fine wines and keeping fit. These may not complement each other but keep me happy.
