The Iron Men

Most of the country is covered by a layer of snow, but here in Crosby it is clear and bright. I decided to go down to the beach to see the Iron Men. The tide was coming in and there was plenty of traffic on the River as I made my way along the beach.

I walked along the Sefton Coastal Path as far as the mouth of the River Alt but there was little to see except a group of Starlings taking a bath,

Back at the coastguard station  the tide was almost in and I managed to get a few more shots.

I had been out for two hors and it was starting to get chilly.

Time to return home for a nice hot cup of tea.

About crosbyman66

My aim is to create a photo diary of my walks and my travels. I have two main hobbies, walking and photography and these complement each other. I am a senior citizen, what used to be called an old age pensioner, but I don't feel old. Since retirement I have had more time to pursue my hobbies and the opportunity to travel more. My philosophy now is - Do what you can, while you can. My other interests are fine wines and keeping fit. These may not complement each other but keep me happy.
