I have been reviewing some of my images taken in Mallorca and I have put together an album containing some of the images of wild flowers.
I generally visit the island in the spring when the flowers are at their best. The Balearic Cyclamen was found in a rock crevice close to the summit of sa Galera at almost 900 m.
For the technically minded I use an old Canon 400D with the standard 18 – 55mm lens. Setting a wide aperture lets me throw the background out of focus. However this is quite a heavy camera to take on a long walk especially if there is a lot of climbing. In these cases I use my trusty Sony compact. I have not got as much control over the image but I always have the camera with me.
Here are some of my images.
I understand that the images in the album are no longer available on SkyDrive. I have therefore updated this article and added some new images.
