Cannock Chase

June 12th 2010.

Fairoaks Valley.

Cannock Chase is now popular with mountain bikers and there are several dedicated routes ranging from Green (easy) through to Black (severe)
I walked along one of the Green routes taking me round Fairoak valley. I mcalled in at the visitors centre at Birches Valley where there was a "Go Ape" activity centre.
Here you could tackle high wire rope bridges or zip wire through the trees. Definately not for me!

I used my GPS to navigate back through nthe forest to my car at the White House.

Only 6 miles but full of interest

About crosbyman66

My aim is to create a photo diary of my walks and my travels. I have two main hobbies, walking and photography and these complement each other. I am a senior citizen, what used to be called an old age pensioner, but I don't feel old. Since retirement I have had more time to pursue my hobbies and the opportunity to travel more. My philosophy now is - Do what you can, while you can. My other interests are fine wines and keeping fit. These may not complement each other but keep me happy.
