Crosby CHA. Hartington

12th July 2009.
I led the B party on a 9 mile walk from Hartington.
The walk was similar to the one that I did the previous week but I extended it slightly by continuing along the Tissington Trail for an extra mile and then dropping down to the River Dove at Milldale. This also avoided the overgrown path with the nettles.
The stroll along Wolfscote and Beresford Dale was beautiful but  today we did not see any heron.
We were back in plenty of time for refreshments but the tea shop was full so we had to go to the pub!
Pity that!
I’ve added a couple more images to the Hartington album.

About crosbyman66

My aim is to create a photo diary of my walks and my travels. I have two main hobbies, walking and photography and these complement each other. I am a senior citizen, what used to be called an old age pensioner, but I don't feel old. Since retirement I have had more time to pursue my hobbies and the opportunity to travel more. My philosophy now is - Do what you can, while you can. My other interests are fine wines and keeping fit. These may not complement each other but keep me happy.
